Awesome Display JP Duminy has proved anything is possible in T20. Just like IPL Season I royal challengers face a blitzkrieg.

Who Will Win Champions League 2009 /10

In about 5 hours the opening ceremony is going to begin.DNA networks is organizing the opening ceremony so rest assured it will be out of this world. Singer Shaggy,Grammy winner Chaka Khan,British pop star Jamelia,Japanese drummers and shaolin monks from China .In the grand finale, all the artists will converge onto the field to a synchronised segment of lights, laser, concert sound and a display of fireworks that will come together to make for a spectacular climax. I am sure it will set alight the star-studded opening ceremony of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament.I have seen the shaolin monks in action before and they are awesome !! :).

Who are the favourites to be crowned the champion of champions. The teams in CLT20 are all champions of their respective domestic leagues, playing consistent cricket through out the season. All of them are high on confidence, experience and very much on form.

Gilchrist, Rahul, Symonds, and Gautam Gambhir all echoed the same, T20 is very hard to predict. Now,add champion teams with match winners to the equation,it is impossible to predict a winner. And that unpredictability is what gives this tournament its biggest edge. The Champions League T20 is wide open as seasoned veterans and raw unearthed youngsters from across the cricketing world are looking to forward the tournament to prove their pedigree.

But I am going to predict anyway. I don't mind being stupid.

For all its worth Deccan chargers looks like the team to beat, they might not be winning the league.I see them not qualifying for the finals.Delhi Daredevils has the most lethal top 3 in T20 and they can chase down any total.Ashish Nehra and Amit Mishra were on song recently.I would definitely put my money on Delhi reaching the knock stage. Their chances of winning the league are the highest.

Followed closely by NSW blues. The team is packed with 8 international stars. Most of them have played in Indian conditions and massive crowds before. They would be hard pressed not to make the semifinals and then go on to the finals. Chances are it would be a Australian side in the final.Royal Challengers, Wayamba, and Diamond Eagles would also facny their chances in getting through to the knock out stage. Wayamba being my pick for the dark horse. They have players with the X factor.

Favourites To Win.
Delhi Daredevils
New South Wales
Deccan Chargers

Dark Horse
Wayamba

The Odd for today's game Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Cape Cobras according to paddy power are 8 to 15 in favour of Royal Challengers Bangalore and 11 to 9 against Cape Cobras. On Current form RC are my favourites too.

Its all set for 16 days of T20 cricket at its very best. When its time for hindsight I hope my prediction were right.

Champions Sussex Sharks - Predators On The Prowl

Sussex Sharks Qualified to CLT20 by being the champions of their pro twenty 20 competition. Sussex Sharks plays most of its home games at the County Cricket Ground, Hove. The club also plays some games around the county at Arundel, Eastbourne and Horsham.

Sussex Sharks Captained by Michael Yardy comes into the picture as an contender for atleast entering the knock out stages of the competition if not go all the way. They surely pack a punch with a hard hitting ,powerful batting line up.Captain Michael Yardy would be happy that he got the services of the West Indian dynamite Dwayne smith. His Knock of 59 off just 26 balls was the difference in the Pro20 Final.Dwayne Smith is contracted to Deccan Chargers who have also qualified but has decided to play for sussex.

Apart from the Dwayne, Luke Wright,R Hamilton-Brown and Yasir Arafat akk can use the long handle. But what makes them a very competitive side is the variety in their bowling.Unlike most of the other non subcontinental sides they have Two fantastic leg break bowlers. Piyush Chawla and William Beer can make a huge difference in their performance. Piyush being from India and contracted to Kings XI Punjab would know the a great deal about how to bowl in a competition as CLT20.Most probably they will play both the spinners together.

Yasir arafat's slingy action,Luke Wright's heavy balls and James Kirtley's Swing adds variety to the bowling like no other team in CLT20. The team looks fairly balanced and ready to go that extra mile.
