Wayamba Qualified for Champions League by Winning their Twenty20 competition known as the Inter-Provincial Twenty20. Any team from Srilanka, it really doesn't matter whether it's a local school team or a star studded international team, get equal love and admiration from Srilankan cricket fans. Though former Srilankan Captain Mahela Jayawardene is in the squad as his IPL team Kings XI Punjab didn't qualify,Jehan Mubarak would most likely captain the side.
