Nashua Dolphins is one of the two teams that is all set to represent South Africa in the inaugural Champions League Cricket. They are impressive team lead by Ahmed Amla who is the brother of South African cricketer Hashim Amla.
He is a thinking captain and a right hand bat. He scored a lot of runs in the Standard Bank Pro20 Series. He is definitely a player to watch out for along with his brother Hashim Amla, who is in great nick as he along with Kallis destroyed the Kenyan bowling attack in the second ODI at De Beers Diamond Oval, Kimberley,
But the big news is Sanath Jayasuriya is all set to play for Nashua dolphins this will be a shot in the arm for the south african domestic side's bid for the champions league cricket title.
Their bowling is lead by Alfonso Thomas and what I have seen about his game in English Twenty20 league is impressive. He is not express like Dale Steyn he is more a line and length bowler who gives no pace to work with, an ideal bowler in twenty 20. He performed well for his county somerset and Nashua dolphins will be hoping that his form continues.
They are a decent side but will be the less fancied side to lift the champions league cricket title. They will be under no pressure and they have nothing lose. This can be a blessing in disguise and help them lift their game one step further. The team from Diamond town has a lot to look forward too as it will be the biggest stage that most them have ever played. They were the runner up in their own domestic Standard Bank Pro twenty20 but would be looking to go on better in champions league cricket.
